amazing garage fabbing going on here.

you should sell me that 4 inch cat-back and upgrade yourself lol.

i pulled many 1.60 and i believe i would have had a 1.5 when i lifted the tire but came off the button before the tree. i did it all on a 8.5 inch 10 bolt with a 3.90 and trutrac for over 2 years. countless street racing, nitrous with a 4200 stall out the hole and no problems i think yourll be fine. i know you have more power then me and a little bit more weight. but before the build i rolled around with a vortec 5 speed and a welded rear daily driving so that rear end saw helllll

Yea. But just a little bit. My knee is still fucked. I went for my six week check up (supposed to be off crutches after 6 weeks) and the doctor is concerned that the repairs didn't work. I can hardly walk, and he asked me to use at least one crutch for another month.

Anyway, I got the rear tires mounted on the wheels today. Which by the way is not a quick job. I think theres like 24 bolts per side per wheel, which got torqued in four sequences. That like torqueing 384 bolts, not to mention getting the tire mounted on the wheel and getting it square and all that crap. I was actually wore out after that.

I have everything I need to get it back on the road/track, its just going to be a matter of time to get everything done. I'm planning on getting the wheels mounted on there and making some test hits at the tract without the torque arm in the next couple of weeks to see how its going to act with the new tires/gear. I think I have also figured out a way to mount the torque arm without having to remove the fuel tank crossmember. So details on that will be coming soon as well.

Thanks for hanging in there, this has taken me a lot longer than i expected. Here are a couple of teaser pics. Tire is 29.5x10.5 ET Drag.

Got a little done tonight, but ****, I can't do anything on this truck without running into some other issue that needs to be addressed. I started with the back, got the rearend back together and put the wheels on. Damn these tires are huge. I sure am glad I didn't get a 7" backspace on the wheels cause with the 6.5" there is about 3/16" between the sidewall and the leaf spring. Also it looks like I'm going to have to roll the fender or trim the lip out on the very top. The pictures don't do this thing justice, it looks f'ing sick in person.

On to the front, the way moser redrilled the front rotors they didn't phase the new 5-lug holes on one rotor to the hub so the little countersunk torx bolt that holds the rotor to the hub doesn't line up. No problem, I have a tap but need to get the correct drill bit tomorrow and I'll just make a new hole. Also, I'm gonna have to do some grinding on the calipers.

Here's some pics...

Got the fronts on but it wasn't easy. That took a **** load of grinding on the caliper. After the first few times I take it out, I'm gonna pull the front wheels off to make sure everything is ok.

Also, when I was working on the front I noticed that I have a problem with one of the front shocks. It completely pulled the top bushing through the mounting hole. Yes, I'm using the correct bushings with the washer on top. My guess is that the shocks are actually to short and its bottoming out on the extension to soon and to hard. I have a pretty easy fix to shorten the ride height shock length up by 1/2" (thanks Casey), so I'll see if that will do the trick. More on that later. Check out these new light weight calipers.
