But the rod bolts are pretty cheap and its the one thing that kills bearings when the stockers give

nice well if you plan on spraying it you will hit your goal pretty easy IMO. personally i would do at least rod bolts. good luck when you plan on having it all complete?

well, according to rex, he's had issues using the bolts and clearances on the bearings.
since they arent torque to yeild, etc etc.
he could explain it better. (i wont be able to justify it properly to ya'll)

there is very good chance you will not break 12's on a 75 shot with just long tubes. a 100 shot is typically 1 full second. If your running a 13.98 now, then a 75 might not do it, and with a 2 wheel drive you may spin to bad to use the nitrous out of the hole.

Mike by that logic you don't need to spend the money on arp head bolts. A lot of the guys are running FI set ups on stock head bolts and not having a problem. Truth be told i'm fine with the stock head bolts but would love to put in arp rod bolts. From what i have to talked to Zippy about, he turns the stock rod bolts to 7300 all the time, and that cam will not even come close to needing that rpm so you really don't need arp bolts but....i still would for rods.

That cam is way to small for that 408, the cam you have in the truck now is bigger and worked in a stock cubed SSS just fine, enough to run a 13.2 with only a dyno tune.

9.5:1 compression.......thats SCR right not the DCR with the cam figured in. Your not even sure if the nitrous is going on right? and if it does your only going to use it once in a while right? thats WAY to low for a NA 408 with an occasional hit of the juice.
