Alas, we stumble upon the majestic mating ritual of engine to truck.....
From here on out, its nothing but the fun pictures!!!
I will say this about the fuel rails. I like the rails themselves, but IMO the brackets and hardware they give you make it look super cheap! The bolts are just zinc plated instead of stainless and are WAY too long. The washers and brackets are cadmium plated so they match the the black rails real nicely.... and the brackets themselves don't fit the profile of the fuel rails very well! I figured there would be more thought and effort put into something on the top of the motor that everyone will be able to see....
I think I'll be using the Holly setup on my next build.
Anyways, that's all the progress for now! Hopefully I'll start mocking up the turbo stuff next week....

Made a little more progress today. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas/Christmas weekend. It was 65* here and I definitely made the best of it!
On to the pictures....
Picked up some F-Body fans a couple weeks ago along with a piece of leftover .063 Aluminum to build a mount. I think it turned out pretty good for a $110 investment and a few hours!
I cut all the flanges and ribs off the top section of the fan so it would be flush to the core support frame. My plan is to bolt the cut piece of aluminum to both the fan and use the existing bolts from the fan shroud to the core support frame.
I still need to clean up the cuts around the fan for a cleaner look, get some s.s. mounting hardware to bolt the fan on and figure out what kind of surface finish I want to give that piece. Thought about doing the swirl look but I'm not sure if that will look cool or but I'm happy with it so far.

I think there is a guy on here who sells custom harnesses to run either the f-body fans or the universal flex-a-lite fans for our trucks. I don't know his username off hand but his website is ls1fans.com.
The harness is plug and play but whoever tunes it will still have to activate the e-fans in the tune.

I've been following and taking cues from your build for a while! I plan to do the same brake upgrade you did soon too!
Well, you know what they say, if it can't be fast, it better look good, right? LOL
I wanted to do the Tahoe/Suburban fans and radiator upgrade but after taking some measurements, I wasn't going to be able to put the intercooler pipes where I wanted them, so I opted for the F-body fans and factory width radiator.
