The LS2 chain is 2mm wider I think, so its a lot stronger and less prone to stretch.

Can any of you guys confirm if this is the right bolts that I need? I'm not sure why it comes with 34 bolts there are only 15 bolts per head. Im not sure what the other 4 bolts are for?

Does it matter that the ls9 gaskets have a larger bore size?

Those are bolts, I would really go with the studs if you want to go aftermarket.

LS9 gaskets are fine even with the larger bore.

I came across this thread saying that if you have the notch in your heads you CAN'T run any thing but the stock graphite gasket. I was planning on running the LS9 gasket has any body run the LS9 gasket with the notch in the heads?

The bolts referenced above is just a generic picture.

The gasket info is correct if you have the notch. I believe there is even a Gm bulletin about it.

I do have the notch in the heads so I can't run the ls9 gasket right?

Probably not. Either get another set of heads or use a graphite gasket.

Well I finally got the motor broke down and most parts cleaned. I’ve got a ton of gaskets, water pump, oil pump, knock sensors, timing chain and countless other stuff on order. Once I found out that my heads are the old style with the notch in them it kind of put a stop from me ordering the Ls9 gasket and head studs.

Has anybody found a better gasket that there running boost in the 15# range and up beside the stock one? I’ve got an upper gasket set that includes the head gaskets but I want to make sure nobody recommends any other gasket.

I had the heads cleaned, milled and a valve job done with new seals.

Just to be clear my heads are the bottom ones with the circled notch I cant run the Ls9 gasket it will leak. Are any of you running this same heads? Do you recommend a certain gasket? Im planning on running 15# of boost or more.
