looks like a great build & i'm excited to see how it turns out. now that i'm married & have pretty much gave up on my 416LS3 plans for the car, i've been considering honing/stroking my LS1 block to a 383 with my bower. my goal was a bit more top end with the extra LS3 bore, but i'll take what i can get (if i can eventually do it, that is ). how's yours feel up at 6000? i know it was pretty limited by the LM7 intake/TB before, but it should do much better soon.
Even without the re-tune I can tell a huge difference above 4500 rpm. The truck now actually has a nice acceleration curve up to 6000. We'll see what the dyno curve looks like, I'm trying to schedule something for Friday this week.

I'm still waiting to get an appointment with Patrick G. I'm leaving for Egypt today, then I have a street tune scheduled in Houston for Sunday 11th Aug. EDIT: Egypt trip got cancelled about 45min after I wrote this...

After about 3-4 times driving the truck I can say that the LSXRT did NOT affect the driveability. Once the engine is hot, the idle and drivability are just as they were before. Idling and driving around town are no issue at all. The engine has never ran good when warming up, the LSXRT didn't change that. Hoping that Patrick can fix that.

Thanks, that's good info on tsp's, I'm trying to throw together a similiar camping style wagon, except mines a 94 k1500 blazer (or 2 door tahoe). I couldnt find much info on the tsp's fitting a 4wd.

nice, those are cool trucks, pretty rare around where I live. Hard to say if the headers will fit or not, you'll probably have to just try it and adjust things where necessary.

Patrick G is coming over to my house on Sunday to update the street tune. That will be good because then hopefully he can diagnose my cold starting issues.

I'm planning to put new TR6 plugs in (11.3 SCR motor) before the tune, so there won't be any problems there. Right now it has old stock 5.3 plugs in.

I'm going to see if he can do the SD tune and get rid of the MAF. If not, then I'll probably get a bigger MAF. Anyone running the card style?

Thanks! dyno will likely be sometime after the street tune. Maybe just 1 or 2 pulls without tuning to see what it can do. I'm guessing there will be a big drivetrain loss!

Put new copper TR6 plugs in and re-routed some more wiring. Still a rats-nest of wiring and tubes, but that's as clean as it'll get in this chassis.

made this bracket to hold the main wiring harness out of the way. The EVAP solenoid is also behind there.

a little cutting bending and drilling:

I also eliminated the injector plug adapters and soldered the connectors directly to the harness. I'm running FAST 36lb injectors.

The LSXRT is now tuned. Patrick G did a great job getting it dialed in.

Holy Crap. This intake is amazing. HUGE difference over the stock unit. It absolutely screams up until shifting at 6k. I did a couple 0-80mph pulls on the I-10 feeder road today.

Idle, hot start, cold start, everything is perfect. I highly recommend this intake for anyone with a modded engine!
