Used 320 grit on a DA sander. Anything rougher than that and you will have sanding marks. I didn't use anything after the 320, just sprayed primer, based and cleared it. There is still some fine texture in it, but that's just because I'm a VERY impatient person with A.D.D., not a good combo in prep work! Working on that though.

DAM ur truck looks like its gona come out looking clean...im not a big fan of those titan wheels but they look good on a white truck....just my 2cents..the grill would look sick the same color as the rims..cus the rims are kinda dark right?

I thought about it, but what I will eventually do is take out the piece behind the speed grill and bolt the insert to the grill surround.
Here's the somewhat finished product. Need to find me a bow-tie so I can get it painted the Hugger Orange. Then it will be time to start practicing pin-striping....
