I'm thinking the steel will get heat soaked and the computer will pull timing, then eventually the steel will rust up and the throttle blade will stick, hopefully it wont be open when it does.

If you're willing to hack together something as important as the throttle body just to save ~$150 (and leave off the IAC valve in the process), you're in the wrong ******* hobby.

i dunno about your truck...but if my IAC sensor isnt reading correctly itll shut my truck down....aka "reduced power"

its not crap to add a 30.00 IAC sensor like the supercharger guys run..just saying.
