I hadn't either when I bought it. I have since seen 3 of them in town, but none are suburban's. I am going to paint the grille satin black. I might put some upgraded headlights in it, but I plan to leave the grille.

I have a composite headlight GMC grille in the shop that is complete with everything. I could have had it color matched and swapped it out, but I just couldn't get away from this grille.

judging by your brown truck, you sure like "stuffing" big tires on your vehicles. how are you going to get a 305/75/17 to fit?

A 305/75R17 isn't but 33 inches tall, that's not a problem.

My brown truck has 35.5 inch tall tires on it.

And if by "STUFFING" you mean filling up the empty wheel well an not having little tires under the truck, then Yes, I like doing that.

Wow... any online calculator will show you that you are terribly wrong, in fact your 2" wrong. How could you even thing just going from a 305 to a 315 results in 2 full inches?

This one is nice for sure, wider egg crate grill than the higher trim level one. Reminds me of my '72 grill. Gives it a nice wider look. Plus they're not every where apparently

When are you guys going to quit playing with those stupid calculators. There is no law regulating the size of tires, therefor it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. According to that calculator, it says the tires on my brown truck are 34 inches tall, but break out a measuring tape and it clearly matches what goodyear says on their website of 35.1 inches tall.

I didn't say a 315 was a 35 either, a 315 is 34.5

Wouldn't a 305/65/17 be a 33" tire?

You know, now that you mention it, that is probably why I like this grille so much. It favors the 70's grille which I really liked. I hadn't put my finger on it until you said that.

You know, if I had the talent, I might try to modify it to run the round headlights and try to make the marker lights thinner and blend a little more. With my skill level it would wind up looking like my 5 year old packed it full of modeling clay.
