Makes me sick EVERYDAY. That sits just outside my repair bench area in my office.

One problem with that picture is that it is in the wrong geographical location. First solution is to get them in the same place as the truck.

It is at the closest possible dry storage location. The suburban is sitting about a 1/4 mile from my office.

Good choice! The 5.7 TBI was just a turd in My Suburban! I'm hoping to wake it up with a 5.3 70mm!

Yeah, the 5.7 was pretty weak by todays standards. I saw how far I could push the mileage with the 94's computer. Once the motor died, it was time for something different.

Maybe I missed it but what gauges are you going to run in that radio blank gauge pod?

A scan guage and a trans temp guage is the plan.

CTTAndy sorry for the off topic of the thread but I have chance to get a 95 yukon gt 2 door, black with grey leather interior the truck is very clean but the guy says it needs a new motor or this one rebuilt. He is asking 2,500 for it, do you think it would be worth it? Im not looking for a hot rod im still going to have my 97scsb, so stock TB 350 replacement would fine with me. Also how much would a low mile or rebuilt TB motor be?
Thanks
Chase

No worries, don't mind answering some question. Sounds like a descent purchase if the truck is in excellent shape, otherwise, I would work him down in price. The 2 doors fetch a premium, but the GT doesn't really add to that. If it has no ther problems then the motor, I would get it. If there is one other problem at all, either pass, or get them down on price.

A junkyard TBI 350 will run between $650-1000 as they are becoming more scarce. A reman will run around $1200-1900 most places you look. I would stay away from the backyard rebuilders you see on craigslist and go to a real business that will guarantee the motor.

In excellent running shape, a 2 door will normally sell for $4-5,500.
