Dan's RC Revival
It's been 2 years since I ruined my RCSB by pulling the perfectly good TVS1900 topped 4.8 out and slamming a mess of a 6.0 in. Long story short the 6.0 I assembled myself had a serious oil consumption issue, I'm not entirely sure what the cause was, the new machine shop said something about having the wrong rings entirely. The machine shop that did the blockwork and supplied the bearings and gaskets went out of business and hightailed out of town just a few weeks after I picked up the parts and before I ever got the motor complete. Was it my fault for not knowing 100% of what I was doing and relying on another shop 100% and it irritates me that I rushed something and didn't take the time to inspect every little detail.
After I pulled the engine I took it to a different machine shop for a lookover and upgrade and it was there for nearly a year. During that year I got stupid and pulled way too much apart and the truck has been derelict in one of my barns since then. The 10bolt was yanked and sold, the bed is off and has a hole in it above the fuel tank, it's on blocks as the wheels are for sale, and worst of all I've cannibalized various other small bits here and there for other projects and didn't keep a list. This will not be a quick revival but I need to do something and these threads help keep me motivated.
The current engine specs
-LQ4 bored .055 over
-PRC 220cnc ported heads
-Forged pistons but stock gen 4 rods and crank
-9.7:1 CR
-222/234 .615/.600 113lsa. (Cannot wait to hear it!)
-ARP 2000 studs
-Stock rockers with CHE upgrade
-TSP platinum .660lift dual springs
-TVS1900 with a variety of 8 rib pulleys
Drive train and suspension
-NV4500
-Stock 4.10 front diff
-Hummer H2 14b SF with 4.10s and an E locker.
-Deavers springs in the rear
-Bilstein 7100s in the rear
-Fox coil overs upfront
-JD Fab UCA
-8 Lug thug wheels and 35s
Currently, I'm waiting on the H2 axle to arrive and I'm hopefully picking up a set of wheels tonight.

Have not even looked at 7100s because I'm totally undecided on a minimalist bed cage and need to measure stuff still. 12 weeks out would suck but I still have a pile of old shocks I could run in the meantime. A lot of stuff needs to be done and pulling it with a tractor doesn't require rear shocks .
I'm going to look at the power wagon forged bois, although I agree the H2 wheels with chevy caps look cooler, I like the simple look of the PW wheels and the less offset. Plus I found a set for $300 local and with rollers.
This pic is whit the ram caps but chevy caps fit well
