Hey guys, I wasn't sure where to put this, so if it needs to be moved feel free.
I'm looking at new trucks. Probably gonna keep the truck I have now, but i am wondering what truck I should be looking to take to the 1/4 mile strip mostly. Out of a Chevy, dodge or ford, what would you choose? I'm trying not to get into the motor to much probably just a cam and head work with all the bolt on's and tuning I can get my hands on. Wanting to keep it NA. I want it to be mostly a sleeper form the sheet metal out. What truck will be the best platform to start with and why? sorry for the long post.

well thats pretty vague, as far as best starter theres a few options, rcsb 1500 with a 5.3, easy to do a 6.0 swap and will do pretty well, dakota r/t with the 5.9 360 rcsb would be pretty good, Im not sure what all options are available but Im sure there are plenty. ford lightnings are getting affordable now and its not N/A but its a good start and lots of aftermarket. you could also just get a rcsb f-150 with the 5.4 N/A and go from there.

Yeah us Titans are getting there, just need more mods, but they are coming. Personnally, (if your only looking at Domestics), I would go with a RCSB 5.3 1500 or Extended/CrewCab 5.3 Colorado (I know, its smaller though). After my Titan is paid off, I want one of those 6.2L Sierra's. OUt of all the trucks I see racing, it appears Chevy has the lead, they have sooo much aftermarket. I wouldn't go with the Ford F-150, way too underpowered from the get-go. I had 2 Dakota R/T's which where nice and fun. There's mods for all of em, just pick which style you like best.

Thank you! I thought I would be happy with 14's when it started. Then I thought I would be happy with high 13's, well now we have new mods coming out and I want low 13's LOL. I'm trying, mods for this truck are so expensive though. Heck cams are $1200 and a full tranny build is $6000
