Temp changes bring more condensation, mine always catches more in winter. with boost as long as that bottle isnt full for 5k miles that isnt bad imo.. just be glad you put it on there as that would all be ingested by the engine..

Nice to know! It's mostly water with a very faint smell of fuel and oil. Wish it would have been put on from the factory. When I put on the blower and looked inside the intake manifold it was surprisingly dirty. I'm excited to pop the valve covers off when I do the cam and see what it looks like in there. I've never had them off.

So I've had a TSP 212/218 118lsa cam kit in my garage since Black Friday but I've been looking for property and starting to build a new house/shop so performance parts have been on hold. Well the other day I was giving her hell and finally shredded a belt. 25k miles on a blower belt seems like a decent lifespan to me. But since I've been pushing the limits of 6 rib for a while I decided it's time to pull the trigger and order an 8 rib setup. Along with the pulleys I ordered a Mishimoto radiator and silicon hoses.

Other than a belt I haven't had a single issue with the truck since I boosted it. The motor has close to 140k now and hopefully will last another year or 2 until I can afford something forged.

While doing the cam kit is there anything I should beware of or replace while I'm down there?

She spends a lot of time in the dirt and sugar sand of Florida.

Picked up this wrecked RX7 to part out.

A buddies single turbo FD RX7 blew up in Tampa and i had to rescue him.

Me Personally if it has never had these I would do lifters me trays and while it’s apart I would put a ported oil pump and a new timing chain since you are already there

Good call on the lifter trays Ill get some of those on order. As for oil pump any suggested brands?
I forgot to add that already have a roller master timing set that came with the cam kit.

Id like to only have the truck torn down for a week. I don't drive it much lately since I bought a beater but I like my shop empty and clean.

Also if I currently have 30-35psi Oil pressure at warm idle and around 60-70 warm under throttle is a ported pump necessary? Is a new pump even necessary?

If you are for sure gonna end up with something else or forged in the future id just do cam and springs and new cam retainer plate and send it... new seals also while ur there, dont waste the money on what doesnt need fixed imo..
to do a new chain you have to take off the pickup tube and pump, oil pressure is fine dont risk it is my thougnts. only 140k miles isnt much, just dont look at your cam bearings lol
