That's about what I have on my Tahoe and it rides fantastic. It's a good time to replace anything that's worn out, and you may have some alignment issues. I never really did any measurements before I did the coilovers so I don't know exactly how much drop my truck has but I went for an alignment last weekend and it maxed out on camber adjustment but still has -2*. Waiting on parts to install some Belltech alignment bushings and hopefully get the -2* straightened out.

Thanks red I lost that link a while ago.
To be honest Dan everything is worn out. I’m willing to bet big money all the parts are from 22 years ago out the factory door but we will see what I replace. My ideal is if it ain’t broke don’t fix it at least for now....

Damn son I’m only at 225k I think I guess I might as well do it but we’ll see if the budget is there. I’ll probably make it work as I think I’m about to get a new job

If you can great but don't over extend your budget. I got an upper and lower control arm kit from rockauto that was all MOOG parts, the tierods I did when I first got it and are Kryptonite, the steering arms are AC Delco, and the wheel bearings are Timken. Not dirt cheap but reasonable and the whole front end was completely shot and wandering around like a gypsie.

My dad just did his front end on his jeep and I know that was a PITA for him. I am finally about to work in the field I am going to school for instead of warehouse work so I’m on the “whatever the cost for a sick truck” train right about now.
Just got called in for a second interview with corporate so I’m hoping it’s an offer after the interview

Just picked up my HD grille and bumper cap. Just need the emblem and I’m all set. Has anyone ever assembled one of these aftermarket grilles? What emblem did you get? It looks like the updated 2008 2500HD emblem but I’m unsure. Going to the dealer tomorrrow to try and pick one out

Okay so ended up with an 07.5-13 1500 emblem. Almost was a perfect fit but the guide pins and the clips to snap it in were off by like an eighth of an inch so I clipped them off and dremeled the residue out so I ended up with only one guide pin. Emblem was then 3M double sided taped on and fits almost perfect, literally millimeters off from center. It would have been centered if I clipped off all pins but decided that probably wasn't the best move. Was supposed to get everything on Sunday but my welder said he didn't feel like it.
On a side note I just quit my job at a warehouse that was my job during school. Graduating in May and luckily scored an internship worth some very good money for a 20 year old. I start Tuesday and if I don't **** it up I'll be salaried in June. Some projects may or may not be advancing at a faster pace now. There is an old man down that street that has a very clean 03-04 RCSB Silverado that I am debating on asking what he would sell for in the coming months but I am not sure yet. Would help having a second truck so that I can have one down and still have another vehicle to drive, just don't want to leave my current truck behind. There is a lot of history in this truck and I don't want to just say screw it and move on just yet but a frame up build just has some weird appeal to me and I cannot say what it is lol

Congrats on the new job, remember your career progression, and financial stability are more important than truck mods. Always pay yourself first and big mods will be easy to obtain down the road.
