The dye actually worked extremely well. This is the only leak on the whole damn truck!

Hahaha that might just do the trick!

I got a new GM Genuine gasket to replace this Mahle one, 6 quarts of Pennzoil full synthetic and a new AC Delco filter. Parts won't show up until October 3rd at the latest and 1st at the earliest so this project won't be getting done for a long *** time. I'm going out of town the weekend of the 8th so basically going to be a month lol

Got my cruise control back to working and today I'll be reinstalling my subs. Fingers crossed they sound good.

Also would I be retarded for getting like one panel painted at a time? For example doing my roof one month, hood another month, bed another etc etc?

Yes. It would be very hard to paint match when everything is painted at different times

It would look terrible.

ALso, what did you do to fix CC? That's on my list to figure out since it hasn't had cruise since the manual swap.

If it's a metallic color forget about it you'd never get the metallic uniform.

Sure you could match one panel at a time with a solid color if you buy like a gallon and maybe an extra quart (staying the same color no jambs) of base color mixed at the same time. You're gonna waist a lot of materials doing it that way. Any extra two part primers, colors or clears that get activated and not used during it's pot life will turn to solid rubber. You can't pour activated material back into the can as it will contaminate the rest of the product.

Seasonal changes in temps will have you buying different reducers and activators because they are rated for ambient shop temperatures. Slow dry for hot weather, medium, and fast dry for cold weather. Then you'll be back masking all the finished panels when shooting fresh wasting more materials and time. Then you risk the chance of over spray or even the chance of course sand paper coming in contact with finished panels.

It's just not good practice and a waist of expensive product(s)
