Correct... the old o-ring gets flat over time and can dump oil pressure from the lifter galleys.

Great I appreciate your help in this. The LS2 trays are $7 a pop on Amazon so not too bad, I will think about what to do and report back on what I end up doing.

Be careful with Cheap trays, the Plastic is not the same and the lifters can twist and wipe out the cam. A couple guys have reported issues with non Genuine trays.

Sorry I swear they were $7 the first time I looked but they are actually $10 if that makes a big difference

I dont think those are OEM, that was my point. I think OEM is in the $22 per tray range. Maybe plus or minus some. For the price difference, I'd just get the verified OEM ones

They seemed to be OEM
I found the $7 ones they are from ACDelco on Amazon
Amazon Amazon
There are some other ones for $10 that are from GM on Amazon that I can't find although Texas Speed has some for $10. Pretty sure the prices have gone down on these, no where I am looking shows them as $22 a pop. I can't even find the OEM ones anywhere, got a part number?

On GMPartsDirect the ones from amazon are from an LS1. Everyone else seems to sell similar ones.
