All parts have arrived, only missing gaskets and serpentine belts from RockAuto, still waiting on my heads from the machine shop.

ARP the crankshaft bolt and get away from the one use TTY bolt. It would be a good time to put a nice timing set like the Rollmaster CS 1180. Definitely replace the pickup tube o-ring with a new one. (Melling M29517)

Went with LS2 timing chain, came with free tty crank bolt so I’m gonna use it cause why not.

Got the O-ring

I was never happy with the OEM chain slop myself, but that's just me. The TTY bolt is fine but getting those last few degrees of angle is a sumbitch lol. Eat your Wheaties and guzzle a few energy drinks. Find a safe cheater bar for your longest 1/2" pull bar, pucker up and go for it. If you weigh in less than 150lb find a fat friend that can wrench.

I broke an impact socket getting that last bit of angle. When it snapped my heart stopped thinking I'd broken the $9 bolt off inside the crankshaft. Never again, ARP will never break and can be used over and over and only needs a final torque spec. I like it's a 12pt so the socket has a nice bite with the head...YMMV.

I have heard that the LS2 chain will work great for my application and it was a rather inexpensive upgrade.
