The weird clanging/ticking noise went away a couple days after that thread I made before I could look into it, must have been something in the exhaust.

Changed my oil, somewhere between 4-5k miles and a year and five months. PF61 filter and SuperTech 5w-30 oil.

I did notice today that the new blend door I put in is somehow binding up when moving from face to defrost. If I just slightly help it along and move it myself it moves just fine and then is able to go back to face normally. No idea what is going on with that.

You lose any tools in the motor lately? What else would magically be in your exhaust?

No
Animals is literally my only guess. I have put about 500 or so miles on it since then no issues. Oil looked clean coming out when I changed it.

Got my Blackstone report back. Good news is that all the fuel that was in the oil last time was definitely due to the diesel as there was no fuel this time around.
Bad news is that the wear seems to be higher than before. They recommended that I change the oil at 3k and get it tested again.

They did say that even though there was a lot of wear that as long as it wasn't knocking and oil pressure was good then they weren't worried. So I guess we will see in 3k miles. I'm a third of the way there already I think.
