Default 04' z71 turbo build!!!!

I finally found the the perfect project truck! 04' RCSB Arrival blue Z71. I'll get some pictures and start a new thread once I pick the truck up.

I plan to do the usual that most do 6L and 4l80 swap. I have my LQ9 swapped 95' that was my project truck until I got rear ended 6 weeks ago. I shooting for a DD truck that makes at LEAST 600+rwhp on a safe tune. I don't beat on my vechicles much so I can make one last.

Here's some of the specs on my 05' LQ9. It has around 8k miles on the rebuild.

Stock bottom end with ARP rod bolts
Lightly ported and milled 317's with upgraded valve springs
MS3 camshaft/hardened pushrods
LS2 timing set
Hi volume oil pump
ARP head bolts

Since I have this engine and it's just sitting right now I figured it would be a good one to start with. Is there anything I should change or worry about other than the cam and head gaskets? I want a good cam that will compliment a turbo well but isn't real noticable. Any suggestions??

I plan to run a trick or KBracing kit. I'm new to turbo's always had superchargers. I want something that spools good but has potential to make 800+rwhp IF I wanted.

Here's some pictures of the engine from when it was put together.

There is NO reason to run that cam in a turbo set up. I wouldn't even run that cam in a DD 6.0L. Like said above, the triple 12 is a great cam, proven, and will have stock like drivability. Lets see some pics of the truck!

The engine was setup NA in my 95 and made 403rwhp. However the cam was to much for a DD. While running the A/C the truck liked to die a lot.. it does sound good though..

Yea that was my point. A cam swap is a must IMO if you are throwing a turbo on there. When do you hope to go with a turbo set up?

Right now I only really have 1 option on the turbo kit since Kyle is taking the summer off according to his last thread he posted. It really doesn't matter to me either way they both seem to have a good rep on this forum. I do really like the looks of the new trick log manifold though!

Now for what brand or size turbo like I said in the first post I have NO clue I'm still learning. I am thinking a 3-1/2'' DP would be a max for me. I don't want any clearance issues and I'm sure it would make great power.

I'm not looking to make the fastest truck on the street but in my area it probably would be. Something that's DD reliable and a blast to drive is what I'm after.

PT80mm turbo can do the work on a T4 flange. Trust me, once you go boost your gonna want more and more power.
