Escalade ltz door panels swap in rcsb 2 door how to
Figured I would make this thread to help with anyone wanting to do the swap
07/08 style panels use a bigger switch bezel and makes it much easier when making bezels.
You will need the door panels. The triangle pieces behind the mirrors and to order or pull the door cables. They are the same side to side on the front and plug right in.
When you remove your truck style panels. You need to also remove the big metal plate that bolts on the door as these panels don't need it and bolt under it.
For the switches I basically cut up the originals and the brand new escalade bezels I bought and plastic welded them together with a soldering iron. Then I took them to my painter and had them body worked and painted. Total was a very expensive swap but it turned out awesome. I used the escalade panels instead of the Tahoes because they have the leather inserts.
Original bezels used to cut out
Underside of passenger side
I had to do this to move the lock button down and out of the way of the window button bc of space on the back side
This is the only way to combine the two and have the back side of the buttons fit in the hole and retain the factory snaps on the back
Finished driver
Finished passenger

Nice writeup!!! I wonder how hard it would be to swap truck panels into an suv..... Prefer the look and the door pulls from the nnbs trucks over the suvs.... Personally think the suv panels or at least the door handle is too carish...
