its just what you want, Ive run 9" rears and have never had one fail on me, its alot lighter than a 14 bolt, and it proven and super easy to change gears out in. But as far as strength its not the only option, I almost went with a upgraded 12 bolt, but decided to stick with the 9''. just my .02

yeah id go 9 inch over a 14 bolt for weight but the 14 bolt would be alot easier of a swap . a 9 inch requres alot more fab work but if your going to do a 4 link its actually less work .

nice setup you have going , the fact you can get the 6 bolt axles is sweet. one day i may have to do something similar.

I would just like to offer up some freindly advice.

When It's all said and done, I hope you have that housing checked for straightness. Welding brackets on like that can distort the housing.... The housing ends are that last thing that are supposed to be welded on. If the ends are out of alignment and you have a toe in or out condition It will slow the car or truck down. Not to mention the premature wear on everything else...

On a side note, Its nice to see you making some progress and sharing it with others. I have also been thinking of doing a 4 link of some sort. Just not sure on wich way I am going to do it yet...

I asked Moser that question when I ordered it and they told me it would be fine. I agree with you, I hope it stays true.

Regency04 & Banshee, u guys are doin some nice setups. No worries for sure.
Sierra1320 as far as strength. The Dana60 is stronger than a 9". Too bad it's very heavy. Banshee said it best; the 9" has been proven. Plus, many gearsets to pick from, & serviceability.
Where's the 14 bolt fits amongst the other 2? Well, from reading the other posts, they're heavy. I usu. equate heavy to being strong. I forgot how big the ring gear is on a 14 bolt. W/ some fab work, some $, tho... u can put whatever rear u prefer.
