Default First turbo install...

Hello everyone. New to the site as this is my first thread. Would like to thank everyone here for the awesome tips/pointers. Been reading alot of forms for the past couple weeks and finally decided to join. Little bit about myself, born and raised in the good ol mitten (michigan). Have owned a couple ls1 camaros in the past nothing with F/I. I'm 23 and work for an asphalt company which gives me alot of down time in the winter. Anyways couple years ago I bought an 05 1500 4wd with the flex fuel option. Was always throwing around the idea of sticking a turbo on it and finally bit the bullet and bought a kit from on3. Didnt know to much about the company at the time and ive heard mixed opinions good and bad. Anyways finally started to tear into this project. I will give a quick list of mods:
- On3 99-06 silverado kit. Upgraded to the 76mm ceramic turbo, wanted room to grow for the future.
- 60# injectors
- fuel pump still undecided because I do have the flex fuel option but if I do end up upgrading it will be a walbro.
-As for transmission, I just scooped up up a 4l80e yesterday im going to have rebuilt this summer once i get back to work.

I'll get some pictures up tomorrow I'm not to far along on the build as my boat took up alot of shop time/space this past winter. I am scheduled to go to the tuner mid may so hoping to have everything finished up in the next few weeks. Agian this is my first build and could use all the help and advice I can get. Thank you in advance!!!

Manifold wrapped and on. Spent most of my time trying to fish out two broken manifold bolts. Ended up buying a set of snap on EZ outs after breaking them off flush with vice grips.

Turbo mounted and clocked to best of my knowledge. Really struggled with the inner two of the mounting bolts.

Figured I would post a pic of the truck. Yes I do have another set of wheels and tires going on but for now the stockers make it easier to get on and off the trailer.

Where is everyone drilling the pan for their oil drain? I have a general idea but wanted to get a few other opinions first. Thanks in advance!

I drilled and tapped mine right above the oil level sensor on the passenger side. It works fine. Next time I want to tap mine on the front of the pan just to see which is better.
