He cleaned up the pistons and cylinder walls and he sent the heads out to get honned a bit so their's a smoother surface to work with. Other than that he said he was mounting up the new 2 piece DS today. Said should be done next week. I'll drive up my in beater on friday night for the show on Sat. Doesn't look like I'm gonna be giving anyone any competition in the dyno pulls.

**** Jullien, I just spent the hole day at Ricks, I should have taken some pictures for you. I didn't think about it. We had a small crisis with my truck that we had to figure out.
your truck and mine can sit in the unfinished corner

HAHA, thanks mark! That's what Rick said. I might as well bring a beach chair with me and a cooler and you and I can sit by our wounded trucks and drink our sorrow's away!! You mentioned in your thread he took care of your crisis so I'm glad that it's been taken care of! Not sure if I wanna see how nasty my pistons looked though. Probably put about 3000 miles on it with a blown head gasket. What kind of damage could that of caused?

Hi Julien. Welcome home!
Sorry to read about your wounded truck. I'm amazed that you were able to drive it so far with a blown head gasket. Let me know if I can help out with the cylinder heads in any way.
Any idea what the oil carbon build up is from? Is the turbo seal causing this?

Give me a call when you get settled in and fill me in on the gory details.

Your overseas adventure looks awesome Maybe we can trade places for a month.

Richard

Thanks Richard, when I return from the car show I will fill you in on what Rick found and what the status is so far.

And thank you for the offer but I don't think I could hack a day in your shoes. That and the fact that you work too damn hard. I'm lazy and could never wake up at the ungodly hours you do. For instance today I woke up at 11:30 am, and that was only cuz someone decided to call me that early!
I will touch base with you soon

If I'm in town then count me in Chase. Even if I don't bring my truck to run (crossing my fingers) I'll come to shoot some vids for anyone that's running. I figure that might be a good time also to get Mark's Denali out on the track his should be done by then and maybe if we're lucky Brian and Devin too.
