If I had more power, I'd probably love my 3.42s.

Depending on what RPM you shift at, you could probably pull all the way to 60 in 1st gear, and 100ish in 2nd. My only bad punch is around 45-60 mph at the bottom of 2nd gear because i dont have a stall yet.

I forget if you are 4wd or 2wd. I would probably use what you already have. I would also want to be trapping near the top of 3rd though.

I'm 2wd with 4.10's, but with this combo I'm not loading up the engine/turbo enough in 1st and 2nd gear to see full boost, and blow through the gears way too fast.
I figure if I make my gearing a little shorter I can get better gas mileage, load up the turbo better in lower gears, and consequently stay in my power band a lot longer as well.

I think I'm gonna get 3.42's. Power isn't my problem, it's the other things in my set-up.

I totally agree and no, power is definitely not the problem.

So I got the 3.42's in today...
WOW, what a big Big BIG HUGE difference they make! Almost feels like I have a tighter converter off idle and I'm loading up the engine much harder and shifting much better and more consistently in my power band.
I saw 16psi in 1st, 18 in 2nd gear and I think I saw 20 psi by accident in third...

Now that my engine is finally working hard I'm starting to see some casualties. I'm seeing alot of crankcase pressure and at WOT it's dumping out my vents which is good but there's alot of oil coming out with it!
After some hard runs I came up to a stop light and smoke started billowing out of my engine bay, and after smelling it Iknew what it was. The vent dumped a lot of oil on my headers and it started smoking smoking smoking!
I'm gonna mock up a catch can if I can in the next few days. Curious to see how much oil I've been consuming in the past with the PCV system.

Tune's running really rich as well, AFR's hang around 10.1-10.5 and it dips into the high 9's at times. It seems to pull much harder when I'm at partial (%75-%90) throttle than WOT. WOT is inconsistent, jerky and just screwy for some reason.

That's really great news. I bet it pulls HARD! I'm supposed to get mine back maybe today or tomorrow. I'm sure there will be many details to work through as well. Took your lead and asked the shop to vent my valve covers like yours. He said he already had. I'll be running a lot less boost though. I've learned a lot from watching your build. Thanks!

Okay. I can see you built a 370. It was come from 5.3 block? It will effect gasmileage if you swap to 370?

Take away some timing. Do you have a wideband and some logs you can send me? I can help you out with the street tuning. Easy to do.
