Swap has begun... Before I start hacking up my rear mount to make fabbing up my new cold side easier, is anybody interested in buying it? It would consist of all the hot and cold side, except you'd need to make your own cold pipes from the airbox area to the intake. Also you'd need to make mounts for the flange to attach to the frame under the bed.

Attaching turbo to frame

Part of the cold side that would need to be made up

Good luck bud, i think you will have more fun , rewards with a proven kit like KB's.

I would have bought your blower for my wifes tahoe !!! I love mine now that i have a smaller pulley.

Let the build continue!!! Good luck.

Also the FMIC i had ( air to air) with my old turbo kit netted roughly 10-12 * above ambient. Im a believer in AtA intercoolers.

I wouldn't post it in the classifieds without a price, and I don't even know what it would be worth. Probably take too much work from the end user to be worth much anyway. It was just a thought...

Anyway, updates:

Ye olde blower. It'll get a good cleaning and then its off to its new owner.

Quick spool valve...major pain in the ***!

I'm way behind schedule with this project...freak snowstorm weather in Tucson has cut hours off my day for work time, and I work slower at that since its like 25 degrees where I am. No enclosed garage, so I'm making do with a covered carport
The quick spool hasn't made it any easier, either. Had to grind out the turbo, log manifold, and gaskets to get that damn thing to open without hanging up on something. But damn was I pleased when it finally worked. Hope to have it finished by saturday.

Looking good Jake I'm interested to see intake / intercooller setup .......quick spool valve ..so does that somehow block part of the exhaust housing to make it think its smaller? and what controls the opening rate

Do you have any pictures of how you attached the exhaust pipe to the exhaust inlet of the turbo because I am interested on how you achieved this? this would be on the old setup on the rear mount
