yea the tips are definately goin bye bye, as well as every chrome part on the truck. Damn thing runs great, no problems on the way back except for the fact there was no pad material on one of the back brakes from the moment I picked it up, so needs a rotor or two now. Got a 75 in a 55 speedin ticket racin a 03 up ex-cab with Ga tags around panama city Fl to attest to the lil 4.8's guts

My screen name is more of a hobby of mine lol

I think your wife is going to have a pretty cool little truck once you spend some blood and tears on it. I’ve always liked that color of blue GM used as well.

I got sidetracked on household stuff breakin, but am doin the rear drop now. Unfortunately when we took the bed off my helpers laid the bed corners right on the ground and broke the corners off the step sides at the bottom behind the cab Might have my body guy repair or it, or just say f' it and get new bed sides for about $400 a side. I hope to have this damn thing at the paint shop within 2 weeks, momma is gettin tired of my old man takin her back and forth to work, gotta get my lazy *** in gear lol

I did get her a volant CAI off here a couple days ago and have quite a pile of new parts in the garage just waitin to get tossed on her truck.

Its a 4.8 and maybe one day will be a 6.0, hard to tell? I can't have her havin a faster truck then me. I already can't try her in my 318 3/4 ton, this 4.8 will flat spank that truck and I'll never hear the end of it. My V10 truck is safe for now

4" shackle/hanger rear drop is on, wasn't too bad with the bed off. I will throw some pics up once I get the bed back on, hopefully without more damage to the sides Then it's off to have a shop put the 2" drop spindles on and a re-alignment. Then off to the paint shop.
