Negative, get a short radius fitting. I cant find a picture of mine, but thats what I had to do.

^^^ that indeed works. there are a few companies that make low profile ones too. or you could drop some real coin on a banjo an fitting. i think the aeromotive -8 one is $65 or so

i ran into the same problem i had to get a earl fitting and clearance the plastic on the back of the alt a lil bit. earl fitting on right ... Name:  2012-02-19_17-08-18_663.jpg

I had to cut the alternator cover on mine, even using the short fitting.

I think mine is russel, but the actual bend is shorter or its one piece instead of two, cant remember

I ordered a Fragola swivel 90* which is all one piece. I might have to do some plastic trimming as well, but I think this will work.
