So after a trip to Dallas, I now have my freshened 4L80E with *hopefully* a perfectly good working transbrake. Everything got bolted together and installed. Here it is:

DJ-80101. It's actually for a TH400, notice my blanket has little sections cut out in places to clear things like dipstick, cooler ports, and additional motion of the shift lever if you were to drop it down into manual low.

Continuing on now, it's getting closer!
New turbo is here:
GT91/97 on the left, GT98 on the right.
Trans cooler mounted, just gotta run the wiring and install the thermostat for the fan:
And breather tank is mounted, which consists of a single, baffled -10 vent directly out of the valley pan:
