Default Juiced 425 stroker

Figured I'd post up a few pics of my 425 install. It's been a long project, truck hasn't moved under it's own power in almost two years, but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just have a few more things to finish up on the fuel system, then install the hydroboost brake setup, mount the pcm and ignition, put the front end back together and get it tuned.

Engine made 565hp 525tq n/a and will see a healthy dose of spray, gonna start off with 175 and work my way up to 325. This dyno reads a lil low, so it's probably more like 600-610hp. Not that it matters, so long as it runs the # at the track. Shooting for low 11's on the motor and single digits on the bottle.

Dyno vid:

R3 race block (4.060x4.1)
W5 heads (320in/220ex)
11.2:1 cr
Custom Bullet cam 262/270 (@ .050) .602/.585 108lsa
CSR electric wp
Indy 360-3R intake
Holley 4bbl tb
T&D rockers
Forged internals with custom JE pistons
NOS double cross plate setup w/ standalone fuel system

Started with this, what was left of the old engine:

Cleaned up the engine bay a bit:

P.I. Viper 4200 stall:

Tight fit with the trans and deep oil pan on there:

Looking good:

Off to get headers/exhaust built, hopefully she'll only have to take ride like this one more time (to get tuned):

Custom built stainless headers, 1 7/8"-2" with 3.5" collectors and 3.5" Dynomax duals:

Fuel system almost done (Russell ProClassic hose is the ****):

Oh, and here's the whole truck, a week before it spun a bearing and got parked to start this project:

Should catch a few people off guard. Altho, the cam and 3.5" duals might give it away LOL

Thanks. Yeah, I think it's gonna be a lil too loud to be a true sleeper. But folks probably still won't expect it from a Dakota. Folks were still surprised by my old setup that ran 11.3's, even tho the blower was loud as hell.

You should be happy then, that hood is gone It wouldn't clear the new setup. So I decided to get a regular cowl hood. I grabbed a steel cowl first, which fit, but was heavy. Then I found a guy selling a cf cowl hood (very limited number were ever made for our trucks, around 10 I believe), so I snagged it. This thing is crazy light, if it weren't for it's size, you could easily pick it up with one hand. Probably gonna need pins to be safe. It will get painted, but I might leave the sides of the cowl cf.

It might have to, unless my paint guy can get it done and back to me quickly. I've been without the truck for two years, so once it's done, I'm gonna be driving it, whether the hood is painted or not.
