Are springs compatible between the different types? I know th rect port uses offset rockers, but could I reuse my pat dual golds?

Same springs will work. Don't have the exact spring pocket diameter at hand but the same spring comes on assembled LS2 heads as LS3 from GMPP.

Plus you can re-use the rockers for the exhaust valves, so you'd only need 8 offset ones, PN 12569167 if you need em.

yep, same springs are used. just replace the valve seats imo..they are cheap vs pulling the springs for a leaking valve seat later.

Everything else in the block looks fine. Im not sure if the cylinder can be honed clean or what, and I cant tell where the ring gaps actually are, but it looks like where it blew through...

FIC finally got my injectors and Bill said when he put them on the bench a couple of them sputtered for a second and ejected some stuff out then they worked fine. I should have them back in a few days.

That looks like some serious as ***** detonation man! You can't just melt Aluminum like that without having some severe heat issues by running super lean.
As far as honing it out I think your block is toast cuz weren't you at as far as you could go with cylinder thickness? You could re-sleeve it and make it a bad-*** 4xx ci motor though. I was gonna ask you about the ring gaps but guess you already looked for them. Take those pistons to get blasted to clean them up and see if you can't find the ring gaps or maybe they ended up being all alligned, where were they on the other pistons?

I didnt take any of the other pistons out, but I suppose I can to look for the gaps. The cylinders are at 4.040, and ive heard of guys going to 4.060, but usually only in NA applications, so I do have some room left to play with.

Just took out number 7, and the gaps were near where #8 blew out. Definately werent 180 degrees apart, more like 30.
