I built my LQ4 a little while ago and just wanted to show a little bit of the build. Custom Grind Cam 227/236 Ported and Milled 243s, 92mm Hiram, 800cc Injectors, 10.7:1 Compression, ARP head and main studs, ARP Rod Bolt, King Racing Bearings all around. Is actually pretty streetable. Take it on trips, beat on it, nd 9k miles later still running.

 

Sweet seems like a good combo, what year truck?
Was curious as to which throttle cable you were using.

 

2001 single cab silverado 2wd. I used the Lokar TC1000LS1U

 

Do you have any videos of it running? Any dynos?

 

Been contemplating what heads to use, thought about just using the ones off my 5.3 for the compression but haven't decided yet.

 

Who ported the Heads? What CC did they end up after milling?

 

I ended up with 60cc chambers, and the work was done by outlaw race engines.

 

they will be good for compression but guys with similar builds ended up putting down a lot less power vs when my 243s were stock.

Well anything better than 317s, I was able to get a free set of 862s so going to run those for now
