Good luck, and I can tell you first hand it will run really good!
lol... if it'll make you feel better. I'll throw a 125 shot on it, and a FAST intake if I can get someone else to foot the bill

Plus... I have more stall, and you have more gear

The weight savings was definitely a plus, and for the price I got it for, it was a no brainer.

I was looking at the flow difference between the 5.3 and the LS6 heads, and they show the LS6 heads only flow about 3 cfm more than the 5.3's, and I'm not sure how much the bigger intake runners would help.

What's the power band of that cam like in the LS1?

People daily drive on a cam of that size all the time so it still makes good power down low but I would guess 2000-6500 or so. The peak might be slightly lower then 6500 but it should be close.

I like the LS1 for the weight savings as well, plus they are usually cheaper since the majority of builds focus on the 6L blocks.

the ls1 is only 60 lbs less from what I have heard. Every pound helps but 60 isn't much.

60lbs is 60lbs.

Like I said, the main reason is because I basically got the entire thing except oil pan and intake for $500

Yes 60 lbs is going to help and a good deal is the best part.

talk to 06tx4.8, he had a ls1 in his ex cab a while back and went like 11 somethings... he said the thing revved super quick. Unless i can find a 6.0 block or come into some money so i can go lsx, ill be putting together a pretty nasty iron ls1 hopefully pretty soon

The power band of the 222/226 is 2000 to high 6000's..The higher lift really shines up top.. I really like this cam alot, But I will be honest, I havent found a flat road that is long enough to see when this thing stops making power..It keeps pulling..I used the 75 dry shot twice now and it pulls HARD..feels like a solid 7.6/7.7 1/8 mile truck
