eehhhh...hp is rpm dependent, torque isn't.
Unless I'm mistaken...
The mechanical advantage due to the added stroke that you get from a stock bore/stroked 408 is greater than that of a stock stroke/bored 408. So you'll get more torque from it.
But the advantage of a stock stroke/bored 408 is the surface area you have with the larger bore piston. Then your dealing with the physics related with hydraulics systems.

I wonder what argument some other people would make when you make your statement. I can assure you that even if the hp is similar, that the powerbands would be vastly different.

Ah, the old short stroked (under square) vs. long stroked (over square) thing. Just make it square and get the best of both worlds

I've read that oversquare is better for FI, but people who are smarter than me say that undersquare is better so....
