Alright team, lets play spend my money.
Here is the snippet of what the builder has quoted out for me for a 408. We both agree a 408 isn't "needed" for my goals (600hp min) but were in there and the cost difference is minimal to make the jump.
Then we add FI, thinking whipple 2.9?
Anything anyone sees they recommend against. Anything besides the 4L80 that i might be missing addressing?

I realistically need to run 91octane as not much availability is here. Maybe that affects the target CR?
I'll have to research more on the rockers, not sure the specifics here.

My compression is around 9.5 that’s to keep it safe on pump gas. You never know when you will get a bad tank of fuel daily driving. It’s just insurance you can make it up with boost.

I’d highly suggest picking up a set of square port heads (LS3/L92/LSA/LS9) for the future add on (Whipple). They don’t offer a cathedral base so you’d have to run adapters.

@ALL ULL C Is right, get some square port heads and I really like that BTR shaft that he is talking about.
I would consider looking somewhere else for lifters. Those Delphis have been reproduced out the wazoo and I don't know if I would trust them anymore. Some Johnsons perhaps.

If I was going to do it again I too would switch to square ports for blower options.
