My 2007 Silverado Build...again

Well, what a NIGHTMARE this weekend turned out to be. I started friday morning about 9am. Got the truck on the lift got all the bolts out of the bellhousing, converter bolts, starter, etc etc...couldn't drop the tranny because because the exhaust was in the way. Couldn't find the sawzall so tried to wiggle the tranny out without removing the exhaust. Fought that til about noon then went to eat some lunch and buy a sawzall.
Got the sawzall opened and had the exhaust cutout in less than 2minutes and had the trans out. Well, it seems the hard part is done right? Well all of my close buddies all had prior engagements so the only help I has was my 120# girlfriend...she manned up and helped me lift the old 60e off the tranny jac and on the ground...then I had to figure out how to get the bigass 80 on the jack...my first option was the cherry picker...well it was down the road in another buddies shop...just go get it right? Wrong. All we had was her dodge charger for transportation. Soooo...again she had to man up and help me lift that heavy bastard up four feet to the tranny jack. Got it on the stand, got the new FTI converter on and put it in the truck. Everything went in and lined up no problem. Friggin sweet!
Time to run the shifter cable...got it ran and tried to adjust it...TRIED...I fought with this thing for atleast 3hours...no exaggeration...everyone finally showed up and we all went to dinner at about 7. Got back and ran the wires to the pcm and called it a night

Got back to the shop about noon saturday with intentions of completely finishing up. Decided to start where we left off with the cable. Still no luck. Fought with it fir about 2 hours and still no luck. Had a buddy come over and he messed with it for about an hour and still no luck. Could get it to go p,n,r,4,3,2 but not 1 or 1,2,3,4,n,r but no park. Finally give up on it and he's gonna go look at the one on his racecar to see what we're doin wrong. In the mean time I'm going to start on my racepak install.
Everything I had invisioned with that, was not going to work. I completely mutillated the nice mount I had bought for it and it was no longer usable. Then I started ripping apart my mint condition cluster...as of 8:45 pm, I had accomplished ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Went to lowes and bought some plexi glass to make a new mount. Got it cut out and expoxied to the piece of the cluster I used. I did get a little of the wiring done for it but not much. Gave up at about 11pm and went home

Got home and did a bunch of reading and figured out was wrong with the shifter
Fast forward to Sunday. Had to call in reinforcements. Dirt_track_racer_81 to the rescue!
I got to the shop about noon again and got the shifter working within about 10minutes. Shortly after, Tyler showed up and got to work. While I finished installing the racepak, he put the new yoke on the driveshaft and shortened it the length it needed to be, took my old trac bars off and installed my new smith bars.
Filled the trans with fluid and fired it up about 5pm!

I don't understand the point of your post? I have no problem lifting a transmission off the ground. I lifted the 80 from the ground and put it in the bed of my truck when I picked it up. I guess if you can lift a transmission off a 4' tall jack and set it on the ground gracefully, then I guess you're more of a man than me lol
