My 2007 Silverado Build...again

It's a combination of things. I normally race on concrete with a pimp juice burnout on 28x10.5 hoosiers. This race, we were only allowed to do our burnouts in water and it was on blacktop and I changed to a 29.5x10.5 tire. I did quite a bit of testing before going down there, but I just didn't quite have a handle on it. I went down there knowing most of the cars were going to be faster than me so I put a bigger jet in it and turned the controller way down hoping it would still leave good and being able to hang on the big end...Probably needed to loosen the shocks a little and use a little less air in the tires..Oh well, coulda woulda shoulda. It was still a blast
Err day I'm Hustlin lol Think I'm going to get a different one this year. CORNFED lol

You probably lost because you had people holding on to your truck while doing your burnout.
Truck still rolled out good for smoking the tires so hard. Better luck next time.

Not a big deal, but I thought it was kind of neat. Racepak featured my dash on their Facebook page today. Never know who's browsing this forum.

Are you running a rear sway bar? I read an interesting article the other day in Chevy High Performance about how to 60ft on leaf springs... They suggested 3 things...
1. Caltracs or equivalent
2. Rear Sway bar
3. Relocate shocks to rear
they said the rear sway bar helps the vehicle track straight and prevents loading up 1 tire with due to the body tilting to one side... Just thought you would find it interesting...

I have a couple things left to do(for now)to the suspension. I'm going to remove the front sway bar, put some adjustable shocks up front, re-position the front mounts on the Smith Racecraft bars. I have rancho adjustable shocks out back and I'm going to ride them a little while longer. Thinking about maybe going to a qa1 or even an AFCO. The ranchos seem to do pretty well for the power level I'm at for now so like I said, I'll see how far they'll take me.
