I'm not up on the LSX block. Aside from the ability to do big bore doesn't it also have the extra head bolts? Isn't that something to take advantage of with big PSI? What heads are available with extra head bolts?

It is capable of 6 bolt heads. I didn't make that change at this point, so didn't even look at it as an option. I'm probably going to stick at 15psi for now.

Man, did the shipper throw them out of the truck and then hit the gas?! That would **** me off.

Anyway, that timing cover is kick ***!

Yeah I loved the cover too

Unfortunately it couldn't be used on the LSX.

No idea how they messed the heads up. Luckily Richard from WCCH was around to weld them up and resurface them.

Thanks guys.

It's built and in my shop. Unfortunately the weather and some medical problems have kept me out of the shop... Good news is that both seem to be passing.

I'm thinking about intake setups (being flat taunted by Rick @ Trick atm lol) and what I want to do with the pan -- either go back to the stock with threaded bungs or pick up a new moroso and weld in some bungs in the right places. Either way, I think I'm removing the dual filter setup -- at least for the initial start up and break in. I want to make sure the oil pressure is where it should be.

Every time I look at Krambo's build, I lust after that water pump, so I'll definitely be doing one of those. Looking into one or two other purtifying options as well.

Well, it's built and in my shop... and now going into my C5!!

The 408 will go back in the truck after a rebuild.

The 427 with stg II LS6 heads will be 10.5:1 with no new pistons, and TT on top of either a 408 or a 427 is going to be pretty much the same... So... Vette needs to be done first (since it's my "daily driver" -- the things we tell ourselves... ).
