Thanks Capt I just spent 10 hours last nite removing the megasquirt and msd. And wiring back in the factory pcm. It runs but it is rich as f*ck. Now if i just understood how to tune factory pcm better

Join the club man, just be glad you have a GM, should be easier for you. I had t odrive mine back and forth to work last week cuz my beater truck was down. 9-10 mpg on premium is no fun, especially when your drivin like a lil ole lady. Its tough when your one of a handful messin with a certain combo to get the tune right, but just makes the rewards so much sweeter. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

You get tha ttune sorted out and I bet you'll be surprised, won't get 4.8 gas mileage, but will for sure get better then 7 mpg OUCH!

yeah I think I am going to order a tune. To get it in the ball park and then try to learn how to do this at least on my truck

Wow talk about a lesson in fultility. Most tuners seem to not be able to tune. You wouldnt beleive how many emails and calls I have made to get a tune for an 8.1 with a mild cam. One guy was telling me to completely change my pcm programming to a van tune so he could tune it. So anyways...

I have been working on modifying a stock intake here is some pics
