Okay another update. Got the drivers door hinge fixed as maNy of you guys with older trucks know that the bushings and pins have a tendency to wear out and cause the door to sag. Well that had been a problem for a while also started to mess up the latch. So got the bushings, pins, latch replaced and inner door handle that was glued as a temporary fix till properly replaced as well. The door closes like butter now. NO MORE SLAMMING!!!!! Gotta love it. I also have properly decided on what wheels I want. They are late '80s Chevy C10 wheels. Just to give it a little more classic more utilitarian look. Also easily allow for later widening of rear wheels for meatier tires.

Sure is. Cost the same as standard bulbs to boot.

Mmm not sure about that yet. LEDs seem to struggle in standard bulb reflectors. So I may have to play around with trying some different styles of LEDs to see what works and what doesn't.

Nice build you have going on. I have used kiwi shoe dye to make my plastics black again. Make sure you don't get the polish it doesn't last. the dye will last for a while. my rents had a '96 Burban. That thing was a tank. For your rearend why don't you just find a full rear with a g80 locking diff? I am not sure if they came on 2wd trucks though.
Great wheel choice too.

Good idea with the shoe dye. I will have to try that when the season decides to change to something a little less shitty. I am still unsure on the diff. I decided I want to stick with the 5x5 hubs so I can get the C10 wheels. So that may limit my choices of factory swap-able options. I know I either want a LSD or locker that I can control with a switch. Other than that I am positive I don't like the diff that is stock, always free wheeling a wheel and it is pretty unpredictable.
