Its a tough swap when you're 4wd and you have to mess with the t-case and driveshafts.

Exactly, if I had a 2wd I would have already put a 4l80e but being 4wd and from what I here on good reviews with performabuilt transmission I should do fine, Never race this truck its just a toy to put a smile on my face when I hit the gas lol

Finally have the boost under control running at 6psi, I talked to Rick at trick performance and he worked with me really well my setup ended up being dual wastegates with a 46mm precision gate with v flange adapter made from him and the 38mm gate up on the manifold works great.

Trick customer service is great!

Glad to see you have the monster under control. Im loving my 4L70E still. 500 wheel and its holding fine. make sure your tuner has experience with the trans. The tune is just as important as the trans itself.

I will from what I here he specializes in LS engines and is making a good name for him self in my area. I am mine blown with a rough tune with no timing and over fuel with only 6psi how easy it will smoke my 33.5" mud tires off

So explain how you did the dual gates. Did you put 6psi springs in both gates? Did you T the vac line going to the 1 gate into the other? Do they open at the same time? Tell me as much as possible ha ha

I put equal springs in both and T both my vacuum source and my boost controller that went to top ports of the gates, they both open at the same time for having two different gate sizes they work well with each other.

They don't depending on what stage kit you get you get a single wastegate just in my setup I had to run two to keep mine under control one wasn't enough
