The 2 piece timing cover will save you some time & trouble if you're planning on trying different cams with your setup. Especially if you ever go forced induction and pin your crank.

Otherwise, the stocker is just fine.

Keep up the good work!

Nice build man... but that's not mild to me LOL! 6.0 h/c swap sounds pretty nice and stout.

lol well actually when comparing my build to others that are doing twin turbos or charging their engines it seems mild. i think the cam may be a little big but o well. thats why i put the 2 piece timing cover for later mods. from what is listed i'm hoping to put down in the mid 400's rwhp.

With the mods you listed should be close. I'll be watching this build close I have a very similar setup I'm building.

well long story short. i pulled out my engine the other day to get the bay cleaned up a bit. when i got underneath to un bolt the torque convertor screws i noticed they were all stripped bad. As angry as i was i pretty much ripped the convertor out with the engine and broke it. I just switched the stock convertor with the 4.2 tb convertor that everyone claims to stall at 2600/2800. I plan on running that little convertor to let the engine break in and get the truck going again. Meanwhile i'll be saving for a PI3600

By the way how do you like that convertor? just noticed you have one!

If it didn't come out of the transmission easily, you may have damaged the pump. Might be worth looking into while it's still apart. Search through some of Atomic's threads.
