Haha the geo with that much power would be a 9 second car
It's maybe laying down something in the 4x hp range, and thats like 17 second fast. Its like losing a whole cylinder when you turn the AC on on the highway

I spoke with the guy at the driveshaft shop, it's a smaller mom&pop type business, so he was a pretty legit guy to talk with. We spent like half an hour talking about how he would approach the shaft situation, and gave me a list of things that I need to measure once the crossmember is built. I bought a new yoke for the 80e and a carrier bearing for the center section so we can get some measurements. He needs the tail shaft angle relative to ground, the driveshaft's angle of deflection off of the tail shaft (which he said to make around 2°), the angle of deflection for the rear shaft to the pinion, and the pinion angle relative to ground. He needs the length of the driveshaft, center of yoke at tranny to center of yoke at pinion, and from that he'll calculate everything else himself for driveshaft dimensions.
The crossmember will be the focus for today, making sure I get the angles right. After that I just need to feed him the info and he'll make the custom shaft I'f confident it'll turn out well, but I'm still going to take the truck down there after all is said and done for him to check all the work and check/adjust the pinion angle if necessary. Will update!

Why not just use the 2 piece shaft from an ecsb gmt-800? You could reuse the 2-piece driveshafts with the 4l80e swap with a simple transmission yoke swap.
Seems like GM did all the calculations and everything for you. Is the pinion yoke for gmt-900 drivelines different? Or do you want something purpose-built?
