you set this up for 4wd right? you have to mod the output shaft or anything on the 80e to fit with the transfer case?

Default 4l80/6.0 swap on a 2007 nnbs that has a 4.8/4l60

My truck is a 2007 nnbs with a 4.8/60e I'm swapping a 2003 lq4 6.0/80e from a van. I've gotten just about everything I need for the motor swap but in lost on what is required for the transmission. I need transmission lines/ AN fittings instructions. I have a tubular cross member already for the swap. I've seen something about a speed sensor or vss. What is a vss and what must I do? Will i need a shorter drive shaft also in a single cab short bed?

Couple things here. Your LQ4 is a 24x/1x Gen 3 engine. You need to swap to a 58x crankshaft reluctor wheel and swap over sensors, cam gear, etc. I'm assuming you already know what's needed for the engine side of the swap.

For the trans swap you'll need the following:
1) Modify/replace the trans crossmember.
2) The driveshaft should bolt right up. It did on our 2009 RCSB.
3) You'll need a 60e to 80e swap harness and a retune (Read up on this, 09+ NNBS trucks require a different harness and tune so I'm not sure what your 07 needs).
4) One of the oil cooler lines will have to be modified (extended) since the location on the 80e case is different.

VSS is vehicle speed sensor.
