looks like a hell of a job for a cam swap... good luck, post vids of it running

The DOD or AFM lifters are weak when compared to the newer LS7 lifters. They do not like high RPMs or big duration/lift cams.

here's some more pics. I'll get a vid uploaded later on tonight on the slack in the timing chain.

I ended up replacing the tentioner, timing chain, and oil pump oring
the stock chain is the dark one on the left. Stock shinny LS2 chain is on the right.

yeah it would be my first time with a cam swap, but my dads been a gearhead for 30 years on old style engines and has done a few.



hey is that roller timing chain made by borg warner? just wondering, i used to work for them.

should be stamped on the link that they used to connect the chain, either a blue/gold color if its the model i am thinking of.

a matt how did those 7.4's fit? everyone seems to recommend 7.425's for LS7 lifters?
