dodge originally used the round shifter top but then changed to using the OBS chevy style.
then with the 01+ NBS chevy HD trucks having a factory body lift, they made the shifter mount taller (and consequently, the shift lever inside the base sticks down further) to compensate.

so my heart hurt a little tonight...
the kid that bought Penny last month drove up to make his payment & showed me where a dude at work backed into the bed the other day
but he was pretty positive about it... and started telling me about how he'd wanted to swap on a step-side bed anyway & now it gives him a better excuse to do that & touch up some of the paint.
