The track only allows slicks like twice a year. All other night have to have DOT radials.

I'm running the AEM truboost just because I was running their wideband and wanted the gauges to mach in the pillar

I called smith racecraft yesterday and my assassin bars are still being nickel plated. Looks like I won't get them on before I hit the track on friday... I'll probably end up changing the spring setting in the boost gauge so it spool a lot slower. That should give me a chance to get off the line without blowing the tires off right away. I probably won't see any good times on friday night but it will be a great chance to collect good data and get the tune near perfect.

130mph...I'd take that

No I'll take anything above 110 this week. And I never did get the 22" back on. Laziness won that battle. I will after the track

I had a buddy with a 23X/24X cam dont remember the exact specs in a SC 5.3L did like a 2.2 60ft and ran 90-95mph in the 1/8th with 3.42s lol. Truck was a dog dog dog off the line, but was a highway rolling champion.

So is your plan to set the boost lower for take off and have it kick back on that a certain speed or rpm?

No I don't have that capability with my boost controller unless I hook up the scramble boost switch. That is a good idea though that I didn't think about. Once the scramble boost switch is turned on, it will make the solenoid go to a predetermined duty cycle. So I could make the switch go to 15lbs and turn that on halfway down the track or so.

Probably won't happen before this Friday. But when I get a weekend to work on it, I'm going to add that feature and play with it. Maybe I should get the B&M shifter handle with the button on it and use that for scramble boost.

My plan is to just make the turbo really laggy this trip and see if I can keep traction. My 60's will definitely be over 2 seconds but hopefully I will show a good trap speed.

Damn good find if you ask me. Tonight I remembered that I need a helmet if I'm going to run faster than 13.99. Went through a couple family shelves and found a Simson. Hasn't been used since the 80's when my dad and grandpa were pretty competitive in the sand drags but it'll be put back to use 30 years later

Nice find! Nothing better than putting old finds back in to commission!

You gonna use the 2-step on launch? Have you messed with that much on the street yet?
How well does your local track prep?
