Should have bought some wheels like this. The wheels only weigh 22lb and they tuck and are cheap and are 16x8.5

Just cragar 342 series. They were 159 each for the custom backspacing.

The problem was that I wanted to run a meaty tire. Something with a lot of sidewall and wide enough to put a fat mark on the ground. I also wanted to run a 30" diameter. So it came down to a 15" wheel, so I could run the 315/60 radials from hoosier or mickey thompson.

The track doesn't allow slicks, only DOT drag radials. So I was kind of stuck with the two tires I mentioned. I didn't think 159$ a wheel was bad so I'll give them a shot. Should be here in the next 4 weeks.

Got really tired of looking at a computer screen so I went out back and pulled the driveshaft out, rear wheels off, and pulled the diff cover. My 4.10's will be here sometime next week so I thought I would just tear it apart now and fix a few things.

A while ago, I put a line lock in my truck but once I got it installed and buttoned up, the damn solenoid didn't ever work. So since I'll be running at the track a lot now, I thought I'd either fix the line lock or get a replacement. I'll take that out of the truck tomorrow and see if I can get it to engage.

Those beefy tires and a good burnout with the line lock should give me decent traction with the new gears...I hope anyways. Next step is probably to relocate the shocks behind the rear end.

Hell no I still need to find a 04-06 fuel tank and order $400 worth of fuel fittings and hose before I can install the manifold. Should be fun as hell to get all that in at the same time and turn it up to 20+psi
