nothing new for today, did some last minute running around in the truck before i tear into it, and trying to burn off some fuel for when I have to drop the tank out of it. Tomorrow I will begin the teardown on the truck.

Harness will be coming from Speartech. I had him do one for me awhile back on my last conversion, and it was outstanding. Also the customer service was amazing too! So I am repeating my business there again.

Teardown begins!!!
The day started out well with my MSD plug wires, and my thermostat arriving from TSP.
Cleaned up the garage a bit before starting, and got the truck backed in the garage and ready. Here are some pics of it before I started anything.
So the first thing I wanted to do was get the front end torn down. I removed the front facia, radiator, condenser, and core support to make it easier to work, and so I don't have to lift the engine to the moon to get it out or the new motor in. Here are some pics of that.
Once all that was out of the way I started working on getting things unhooked from the old 350. Things like lines, wires, cables and hoses. I am at the point now to where the engine should come out tomorrow unless there is some kind of issue. I am down to the exhaust, starter wires, lines bolted to oil pan, bell housing bolts, and the motor mount bolts. That is it. Here are some pics of where I have stopped for the day.

LOL, I am working by daylight, and have certain "objectives" to reach each day. I am on schedule for now, the only thing that is going to be the factor in making my date is my other oil pan showing up. That is going to be the thing that screws my timeline. I am trying to have the build done by the 5th so I can leave it with the tuner for 2 days to get it right.

Now all I have to do is prep the engine bay and paint it, remove remaining exhaust, and change fuel pumps today and tomorrow to be ready to drop in the 5.3. been waiting on that oil pan to show up before i get her dropped in.
