Still bummed this piston cracked ,but excited to be 6.0 4l80 .
Todays progress so far







Trans out our pressure washed the bay of what I could rubberized undercoating on the frame accessories mounted to engine oil feed and return Teflon pasted harness cleaned and “organized” ( pulled to the side so everything can drop in and I can wrap the harness around as I lower the engine in ) fixed up the broken connectors / wires / loom . Now to drop it in clean up n call it a night probably try to come in tomorrow after work and start installing trans / figuring out how to mount crossmember swap transplugs around and the extra vss then onto segment swapping this .
If anyone can help send me a 4l80 segment for a

Tidying up some more on the harness getting things tied up all around . Tired of not having ac so I’m replacing seals I got the dye so I can check for leaks I gotta get a uv light and check/ change it seal by seal I guess since it won’t pull more than 24lbs of vac . Ready tomorrow to put the radiator core support etc on and then time to do trans install along with wiring and cross member mounting then it’s off to the driveshaft shop ! P

You can't segment swap an already upgraded OS.

Go back to the stock OS, then find a 4L80e segment that matches the stock 9373372 OS. Then re-apply the 2 bar OS and do a copy/paste with the compare feature to make it all the same again.

I cannot find a file in the repository with this os and a 4l80 segment

Because there isn't one anymore, the repository won't let anyone upload new files.

So this is where you need to use other sources like the HP Tuners forum.

Same issue this guy had a few months ago.

Got the trans in ! What a job between lifting that bad boy with the tcase and getting the torque converter in while laying under it 🏋🏻*♂️ . The stock driveshaft will work ! This is a 99 Sierra 1500 5.3 4l60 push button tcase z71 and the 4l80 swapped is a 2000 Silverado 2500 6.0 4l80 long bed push button tcase . Somebody will hopefully find this helpful . I gotta get it shortened I’m gonna say maybe 1.5 inches because when bottomed out center of ujoint is where it belongs but the yoke is bawls deep in that thang . Now all that’s left is seeing if I have to modify the stock trans cooler lines (I know the rear line has that long thing or else it won’t feed the trans correct ) finish the torque converter bolts and bellhousing/ cover bolts then onto adding a vss since I already did the pin swap on main plug crossmember and then finish the engine portion up by installing radiator front support etc and then it’s hopefully fix the effin ac (I died the system it still leaks but I can’t find the leak I suspect it’s under the dash) slap my turbo kit on make that bracket for the crank case vent and regulator then onto tuning and whoopin on poor late model “muscle cars” ps I’m comin for your hellcat cousin 🤐😉





What’s this bushings effect on the project ? It popped out the tcase rear output . Just slap a new one and seal on it and call it good ?

Smacked that pushing in and gonna send it new seal on tcase driveshaft came back same day for 127 with a new u joint I was very pleased with their service . Got cross memeber new vss and fuel rails back on after getting injector spacers my quick connect was too big 😡 fans are in too now all that’s left is adjusting shift cable since it doesn’t wanna go into park slapping the turbo kit on and then tuning I found a file with the right os and segment swapped an old tune so I can just write entire upgrade os and start tuning !! Super excited to get rolling burnouts back and to settle a grudge between me and some single cab with a 5.3 . I hope I got the juice now to run low 11s . If I can 4wd launch myself into a 10.8 or better I’ll be done building the truck .... maybe .

Grandpa went to get a tcase like mine the np246 or whatever come stock in these 99-07 push button 1500s and came back with this I believe it’s the awd tcase people hunt for right ? Is he a unlucky man that just made me lucky ?
