Remind me what your building here. Are you just rebuilding the shortblock from when it popped?

still got the stock block sitting on the engine stand that took a crap. i got a built short block 408 , 10.3:1 with some used LSA heads that i got freshened up that have BTR 650 lift double springs. also got their stage 4 turbo cam , and have the holly high ram intake now instead of the fast intake. hoping to have it together by weekend after this one.

Looks like you and I have been thinking alike. This is the first if seen of your turbo build pics and your earlier intentions of going with a GT91. Been buying parts for my own big single 408 as well, lots being the same with a few small differences. All the best man, hopefully you get your 9.XX!

I'm watching this one! I still haven't finished putting my setup back together. Life has slowed me down. I am interested to see how that cam runs.

what happened you were on a roll, i thought yours was together already? what all are you waiting for? when i was on the phone with tooley they said the stage 4 cam and this high compression 408 should light the turbo pretty fast. they did say the cam was a little on the small side for a 408 but would probably work good since its going into a heavy truck, plus im not revving my truck to the moon either.

In July I started running a truckin company up in fbks,Ak. We have been going pretty hard to get ready for the winter rush. It takes a lot of my time. That and my twin 18 month old girls.

Well. My motor and trans are in. Something is wrong with my t-case input shaft. It won't slip over the tranny output. I need to check to see if there is a nick on the shaft or something. The turbo and hot pipes are all on as well as all the wiring on top. Just need to finish running the rest of the wiring and build new charge pipes from the turbo to the intercooler.

I got a custom cut cam from tooley, and my compression ended up at 9.7. I will end up spray a lot of meth with the 90 octane fuel we have. I am hoping to have my truck fired up and running some time in November. It doesn't matter anyways. We already have 6inches of snow. And I have lots to do after the truck is running. Caltracs, coil front suspension and do a bunch of clean up on stuff.

I think you got the bigger hotside on the turbo than me too. Mine was the s480/87 1.25 t4. An yours is a t6 right? You will probably have better top end than mine. I think your setup is going to scream! I am expecting to see a 9 out of it!

Yeah I got the T6 1.32 96mm with the billet wheel and race cover. If I can get this thing to light off the line and hook there is no doubt in my mind I'll get a 9 out of it. Just the way it was pulling with the stock 6.0 was rediculous I just couldn't get it to spool off the line my stall was a lil to tight. I think with this 408 and higher compression it should be good thou.
