If you are asking me......I used to do all my own tuning on the 4l80e via hptuners. Now days all the trans tuning is done internal at Rossler and my right hand chooses the shift points. Full manual valve body race truck ****.

nice maybe i can email you my tune so you can check my trans settings just to be sure those are ok, if you can or want to. i just want to make sure the tune is correct so i can rule out that as an issue .

I could compare your tune to mine. No big deal. I think I have all of my tunes and data logs saved on an external hard drive around here somewhere.

I will have to get HPTuners put back on my laptop. I haven't tuned with HPTuners in a while now. Everybody is going the Holley route.

Something is seriously wrong if you keep busting 80s like that. I've never seen a single hiccup out of my built 80.

The basic things you need to do in the tune:
shift times at 0
0 torque management
line pressure needs to be maxed out essentially at max torque
tcc min/max 99/100

And I cannot stress enough the extreme importance of proper fluid level! Make sure to use the 91-96 dipstick.

I will agree with all that, the fluid level esp is often overlooked when people do the swap. When the trans goes in put the dipstick in it and with the pan off double check the level indicator and make sure it is no lower then the case body.

The 91-96 dipstick was actually a little low when I finally got of my *** to drop the pan and mark it properly. Jake says he likes the fluid level to be 1/8" - 1/4" above the case rail.

I can show my trans tune if anyone's interested? It's definitely a bit different than what the common "remove torque management" threads recommend but my tuner tunes a lot of turbo trucks with 80e's and my truck shifts fantastic, hasn't skipped (although only 550whp).

Hell post it up please! I'm tired of pulling transmissions out of my truck. I was shocked when my ace racing 80e bit the dust.
